CARPET CLEANING:

There are 3 basic options for cleaning carpets that you can choose.

Empty: which is the most thorough and efficient method of cleaning. This is usually done when someone has moved and someone else is moving back in.

Open Areas/Traffic Areas: This is perhaps the most common of all cleaning options. When doing Traffic areas we go around the furniture focusing on the heavily traveled areas. Some pieces of furniture can be moved upon your request and will be replaced. Styrofoam blocks or plastic tabs will be placed under the furniture to protect your carpet and furniture.

Wall to Wall: During this process we move furniture from its place, clean the area, and then replace the furniture. Some pieces cannot be moved, such as Pianos, Entertainment Centers, or China Hutches, so we simply clean around those pieces. When furniture is replaced, Styrofoam blocks or plastic tabs are once again placed under the legs or feet to protect your carpet and furniture. Carpets are usually dry to the touch and to walk on in 3-6 hours. It is suggested that you wait 24 hours to put any moved furniture back. This can vary depending on weather conditions (humidity, etc.), if you have fans running or if your furnace or air conditioner is running.


SCOTCHGARD: CARPET PROTECTION:

No matter what option you choose to go with, we always recommend having the carpets treated with fabric protector after the cleaning. Carpet fiber protection helps extend the life of the carpet by putting an invisible shield around the fibers. This shield repels dirt and spills away from the fibers instead of allowing them to penetrate in and cause irreversible damage.


UPHOLSTERY CLEANING:

We use the same powerful truck mounted equipment for cleaning your upholstery that we use to clean your carpets. We start by vacuuming to release the loose soil or debris from the fabric. Then we apply a cleaning detergent specifically designed for cleaning upholstery and agitate it in to begin breaking up the soils. We then rinse the detergent out with hot water and then vacuum. Your upholstery can be cleaned the same time we clean your carpet.


AREA RUGS:

All your rugs will receive the best care possible whether it’s a common rug or hand crafted Persian rug, Steam Way can handle any of your rug needs. We can clean them either at your residence or In House. Pick-up and delivery is available or you can drop the rugs off at our Shop to be cleaned. All rugs are pre-vacuumed, hand shampooed, thoroughly dried, and wrapped in plastic to insure the best care of your rugs.


TILE & GROUT:

Your tile and grout floors get just as much traffic as your carpet and over time a more thorough cleaning other than regular mopping and sweeping may be necessary. We use the same powerful truck mounted machines that we use to for carpet and upholstery cleaning. We start by applying a grout cleaner designed for your tile and grout floors. We then agitate each tile and grout line to clean. Sometimes additional cleaning agents are required to remove more deeply set soils. After cleaning, we rinse the floors with steam and vacuum. We follow up with a dry mop to remove any remaining surface moisture. The floors dry quickly and are usually ready to use before we even leave your home.


AIR DUCT CLEANING:

Do you notice dust on your furniture after cleaning? Do you have dogs, cats, or other pets? Is there a smoker in the house? Does it seem like there is not enough air flow coming from your vents? Do you notice a musty or stale odor coming from your furnace or air conditioner? If you answered yes to any of the questions, it may be time to have your air ducts professionally cleaned. Contaminants build up inside the ductwork over time and can be an ideal breeding ground for mold spores, bacteria, fungus, mildew, and other microbes. Each time your furnace or air conditioner runs, contaminants are spewed out and circulate throughout your home. Most people spend 60% to 90% of their time indoors. Many illnesses are either caused by, or aggravated by, polluted indoor air. The levels of some hazardous pollutants in indoor air have been found to be up to 70 times greater than in outdoor air. (USEPA).

The HEPA-AIRE method used by Steam Way assures you that your ducts are being cleaned with the most advanced source removal equipment available. This high tech, state-of-the-art system is used by leading professional duct cleaners in North America. The key components of the system are the patented HEPA-AIRE portable power vacuum and the AIRE-SWEEP compressor. This system enables our technicians to reach and thoroughly clean your entire duct system with minimal noise and disruption. First the HEPA-AIRE power vacuum is connected to the duct system near the furnace. Next, 1 inch access holes are drilled into the air ducts. Long lengths of air hose with special 360 degree high velocity nozzles are connected to the compressor and “snaked” through the entire duct system, dislodging debris that has accumulated on inner duct surfaces. The HEPA-AIRE unit creates a powerful vacuum, pulling dislodged contaminants into its filtration system. Once the duct system is cleaned, we reseal all access holes. Your ducts are returned to “like new” condition.


DRYER VENTS:

Yearly 15,000 house fires are the result of dirty dryer vents. It is recommended that you clean your dryer vents at least once a year. Steam Way technicians are highly trained to handle your dryer vent needs.
